Job Title: Hardware EngineerJob Description The hardware engineer will design, develop, integrate, and test hardware and electronic components for engineering and scientific applications. The role involves applying appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle, from board level to system level. Additionally, the engineer will create documentation and presentations regarding program status and updates for both internal stakeholders and clients. Responsibilities + Lead and perform detailed design of test control apparatus and equipment. + Develop schematics and drawings to support fabrication using CAD tools, including schematic capture, timing simulation, and place and route tools. + Lead research, design, development, and testing of electronic components, products, and systems. + Qualify and test developed hardware, test plans and procedures, and test systems. + Act as Project Engineer for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with system specifications and managing the design and development process. + Consult with software engineers for hardware and software integration. + Ensure all designs are completed on schedule, within budget, and maintain manufacturing reliability. + Perform digital circuit design utilizing programmable logic such as FPGAs. + Be present at the assigned worksite during assigned hours, accounting for personal time off. Essential Skills + Proficiency in hardware design and electronics, including analog, digital, and mixed signal design. + Experience in circuit design and project engineering. + Knowledge of electronics manufacturing processes. + Competency in using tools such as PCB design software, RF, Allegro, Autodesk, and schematic capture. + Ability to lead and perform detailed design and testing of hardware systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with CAD tools for schematic capture and timing simulation. + Ability to develop and present design review materials. + Experience in digital circuit design with programmable logic like FPGAs. Work Environment The role is based in a manufacturing and R&D office located in Ft Walton Beach, FL. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Fort Walton Beach, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $160000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
