As a Hardware Engineer, you will be an integral part of the engineering department supporting cross-functional teams. **Job Title:** Hardware Engineer
**Location:** Folsom, CA
**Pay Rate:** $50/hr **What's the Job?**
+ Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure hardware design meets firmware, diagnostic, and system-level requirements.
+ Participate in architecture definition, design reviews, and requirements generation for SSD products.
+ Perform basic signal and power integrity measurements, document, and communicate results effectively.
+ Simulate and analyze design proposals, review results, and recommend best practices to optimize hardware design.
+ Design hardware for large-scale manufacturing, considering DFx and cost-efficiency, and take ownership of the hardware throughout the product lifecycle.
**What's Needed?**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master’s degree is preferred.
+ Strong understanding of circuit design, signal integrity, and semiconductor design fundamentals.
+ Experience with PCB design tools such as Cadence Sigrity, Allegro, and HyperLynx.
+ Practical lab experience with high-bandwidth measurements (20-35GHz) using equipment like Teledyne Lecroy SDA820Zi-B Oscilloscope and Agilent MSO-X 92004A.
+ Knowledge of high-speed interfaces such as SATA, SAS, PCIe Gen 3&4, ONFI, and power supply design including PDN simulations.
