GTEC Pumps Design Engineer

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to bring new solutions to market. The Design Engineer is responsible for creating designs, 3D models, detail drawings, bills of materials, and providing technical support for manufacturing and assembly processes. **RESPONSIBILITIES** + Manage design projects involving complex designs, including oversight of resources and technical issues. + Collaborate with BU’s and GTEC Engineers to improve the Customer Satisfaction and Employee Engagement. + Have strong collaboration with project team. + Develop and implement engineering best practices and Flowserve standards, reviews new standards and identifies gaps. + Direct the technical modification of programs& methods of solving problems and modify existing product designs to meet customer needs & to improve product life. + Lead cooperation with the Product & Engineering Specialists, Product Management & corporate technology to provide “as needed” solutions to complicated pump problems. + Work with other Design Engineers to promptly investigate & resolve shop floor problems relating to design or quality issues; record & report findings, make corrections & help develop and implement permanent, cost-effective solutions. + Create designs drawings, and other documents with the help of CAD tool. + Generates bills of material and manufacturing drawings for engineered products. + Responsible for identifying upgrades opportunities for processes and products. + Perform basic design calculations. + Provide technical support to internal and external customers. + Delivery on time engineering deliverables. + Meet project timelines for engineering documentation and gathers approvals at the first issue. + Ensure customer satisfaction, accuracy, and timeliness of customer documentation. **SKILLS** + Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline. + +5 years of related experience. + Computer-Assisted Design/3-Dimensional design. + Analytical, problem solving and computer skills. + Excellent planning, time management and organizational skills. + Understanding of engineering documentation, drafting, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing + Fluent English verbal and in written form. + Communicate professionally and with accepted business etiquette. + Collaborative interpersonal skills **COMPETENCES** + Creative thinker, good team player & Problem solver + Demonstrated decision-making skills. + Ability to define problems, collects data, establishes facts, and draw valid conclusions. + Good engineering subject knowledge. + Detailed knowledge of engineering product, design principles and processes. + Team collaboration Flowserve is a world-leading manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems.
