**Job Title: GSE Mechanic**
Job Description
Join our team as a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician, where you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures on aircraft ground support equipment at Dulles Airport. This role involves performing complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on both customer and company-owned equipment. You will utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot Powertrain Management Systems and ensure all work adheres to quality standards.
Responsibilities
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures on aircraft ground support equipment.
+ Perform complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or company-owned equipment.
+ Diagnose engine mechanical issues and repair Diesel, Gas, and LP engines.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic start systems using necessary schematics.
+ Utilize diagnostic software to troubleshoot Powertrain Management Systems.
+ Complete vehicle repair orders and other documentation accurately to maintain quality standards.
+ Communicate safety concerns and customer requests for service to management.
Essential Skills
+ Experience as an automotive mechanic or heavy equipment technician.
+ Proficiency in using hand tools.
+ Knowledge of diesel engines and preventive maintenance.
+ Experience with hydraulic systems, engine diagnostics, and engine maintenance.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
+ Experience in diagnostics and preventive maintenance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification/diploma preferred.
+ 4 or more years of related experience required.
+ Valid driver's license and compliance with TSV Pool, Fleet, and DOT policies.
+ Ability to obtain and maintain an airport-issued ID badge.
+ ASE Certification.
+ Ability to read manuals and communicate effectively with customers and vendors.

Work Environment
Work in a typical shop environment located in the cargo area of Dulles Airport. A SIDA badge is required, and technicians will drive on the tarmac. The position requires availability Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 4:30 PM and the ability to work on holidays as the airport operates 365 days a year.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Dulles, Virginia.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $35.00/hr.
