Position Overview:
The GSE (ground service equipment) mechanic plays a key role in repairing, maintaining, inspecting, and troubleshooting various ground service equipment at the airport. The ideal candidate for this position must have experience in the automotive industry, be mechanically inclined, comfortable working with hand and power tools, and comfortable following instructions.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Use hand and power tools to repair ground support vehicles and equipment used at the airportRead and follow repair manuals for a various types of vehicles and equipmentReplace or repair components such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systemsTroubleshoot problems and issues with vehicles and machineryRepair and services on tow tractors, baggage carts, buses, trucks, service vans and moreMaintain hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical heavy equipment machineryKeep track of parts and tools inventorySchedule periodic maintenance and maintain repair logsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the shopSkills & Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED EquivalentStandard Drug Test RequiredBadging Check Required (10 years)Proficient with hand and power tools **TOOLS REQUIRED**Mechanical repair skillsComfortable lifting up to 50lbsAbility to follow instructionsAbility to work prolonged periods on vehicles and equipmentShift(s):
Tuesday-Saturday OR Sunday-Thursday

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $31.00 - $35.00/hr.
