BBVA banking for growth is the BBVA’s specialist banking unit for the tech and innovation ecosystem, created to help entrepreneurs and venture capital investors scale by combining day-to-day banking with debt-led growth financing solutions (e.g., venture debt, warehouse finance).
About the job:
You’ll work across the full lifecycle of a transaction: helping progress opportunities from initial screening through due diligence, structuring and execution, often using bankruptcy-remote SPV structures and defining key mechanics such as eligibility criteria, advance rates, triggers, and credit enhancement features.
The role also involves building and reviewing financial models, running scenario/sensitivity analysis, and preparing internal materials to support approvals and decision-making.
After closing, you’ll contribute to ongoing portfolio management, tracking performance, monitoring risk indicators and coordinating with internal partners (e.g., legal, risk, monitoring, operations) and external parties involved in servicing and reporting.
Mandatory requirements
Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in structured finance, private credit, warehouse lending, ABS, or related corporate finance roles.
Experience in financial modelling, data analysis, and presentation tools.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
Full fluency in English.
Optional / desirable requirements
Postgraduate degree or professional certifications (e.g. CFA, MBA).
Familiarity with European legal and regulatory environments.
Fluent Spanish.
