About the role
We’re growing our Group Schemes presence in the New Zealand market, and we’re looking for a commercially driven, relationship-led Growth Manager to help expand our footprint and deliver new business results.
This is a senior, market-facing role where you’ll be on the front line: building partner relationships, creating opportunities, and converting pipeline into sustainable Group Scheme growth. Auckland will be your key hub, where much of the adviser, broker and TPA activity sits.
If you’re at your best when you’re out in-market, influencing outcomes, and helping shape winning proposals with underwriting, pricing and product teams, this role will suit you.
In this key role you’ll
Generate new Group Scheme business through active prospecting, relationship building, and strong in-market presence.
Build and grow pipeline with clear activity rhythm, forecasting, and focus on conversion.
Strengthen key distribution partnerships across advisers, brokers and TPAs — building trust, credibility and long-term value.
Represent Chubb Life in-market at industry events, partner forums and adviser meetings to lift visibility and opportunity flow.
Support competitive proposals and negotiations by working closely with underwriting, pricing, product and new business teams.
To be successful and grow in this role, you will ideally bring the following
Proven success in sales growth / business development within life insurance or financial services.
Strong capability in relationship management across adviser, broker and/or TPA channels.
Confidence partnering with technical teams on pricing, underwriting, proposals and commercial terms.
Highly developed influencing, negotiation and communication skills with senior stakeholders.
Strong commercial judgement — able to interpret market insights, prioritise opportunities and manage competing demands independently.
