Job Summary:\n

Provide accounting and financial leadership and oversight of multiple manufacturing locations through:\n\nEnsuring each location is meeting the Company's financial reporting requirements consistently, accurately and on time within the framework of Company policies and procedures and U.S. GAAP\nSupporting the standardization of financial reporting and internal control processes\nSupporting process improvement and new systems implementation\nConducting required SOX testing and reviews; developing corrective actions where needed and ensuring actions are implemented at the plants\nHiring, training and developing new plant controllers\nFilling in for the plant controller in the event of an unexpected absence\nAssisting management with business planning and development, operational analysis and continuous improvement initiatives\nParticipating in the review and\/or preparing required financial forecasts and annual budgets\n\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.\n\nReview monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, journal entries and other supporting documentation to ensure completeness, accuracy and compliance with accounting policies\nDevelop Excel, Adaptive and PowerPoint files and templates required for process standardization; support the implementation of standardized accounting processes at the plant level\nCross train and\/or become sufficiently knowledgeable of the plant controller function in order to train new controllers and serve as a temporary back-fill for the position when needed\nSupport standardization and centralization initiatives launched by other functional areas including implementing best practices across plants and ensuring consistent data capture\n\n\nPerform periodic reviews of plant controls, processes and procedures to ensure compliance with both Company policy and good business practices; conduct SOX testing and review activities to ensure compliance with SOX requirements\nSupport the requirements of external auditors and the Company's internal audit department, including the review of the year-end audit package\n\n\nDevelop working knowledge of Microsoft NAV ERP system (and future ERP systems) to help users understand the input requirements necessary to ensure accurate output \nPrepare analysis and ad hoc reporting as required to support the financial and operational decision-making process at the plant, regional, and corporate level\n\n

Supervisory Responsibilities: \n\nThis position will have 6-8 geographically dispersed direct reports and will also work indirectly with the plant controller team at large, members of the corporate financial team, and other operations leaders throughout the organization.\n\n

Competencies\n\nAttention to detail\nStrong communication skills, including the ability to influence, train, and motivate at all levels of the organization\nSelf-motivated with a great work ethic\nMust live the Champion Operating Principles\n\n

Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university and 5 - 7 years manufacturing accounting leadership experience and\/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nCMA, CPA, and\/or MBA a plus\nProficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software; experience with manufacturing ERP systems\nExperience with accounts payable, payroll, and sales \/ receivable management\nExperience with standard costing and inventory count management\nAbility to travel up to 50% of the time\n\n
