Group Benefits Sales Representative - Pittsburgh, PA
Guardian is seeking a Group Benefits Sales Representative who will be responsible for building and maintaining Premier brokers and plan holder relationships to drive ongoing sales and retention of groups of 2-1,999 lives with a primary focus between 100-1,999 market. Success will be determined based on the ability to attain high levels of production through broker development and internal relationships. This role will report to the Market Leader within the assigned territory. **You will:** + Market, position, and sell Guardian’s GroupBenefitsportfolioproducts and technology solutions to your designated brokers. This includes Dental, Vision, Life, Disability, Absence, and Supplemental Health products. + Support the general wellbeing of the broker and client relationship for the development and growth of Guardian sales and client retention. + Understand territory dynamics to build,developandmaintainbroker relationshipsto grow the book ofbusinesswhilerepresentingGuardian’s vision toinspirewell-being. + Be accountable for consistently achievingor exceedingpersonalsales productionexpectationsbyhaving aclear understanding of productsandcreating and implementing tactical sales strategies. + Collaboratewithcross-functionalteams toexamine market trends and stay ahead of consumer demands. + Represent Guardianbyacting as amarketleader, sharing thoughtleadershipandmaintainingstrongcommunityrelationships. + Identify,recommendand champion process improvements and organizational initiatives to increase sales ofproduct offerings. + Achieve required industry licensing within90 daysof date ofhireandmaintainlicense through completing Continuing Education requirements. **You Have** **:** + A BS, BAdegreeor equivalent industry experience + Minimum of twoyears'group insurance sales experience or a combination of Guardian work experience,educationand/or related extracurricular activities. + Experience and knowledge of relevant industry products and processes including, but not limited to Worksite, LTD, Dental products,complex absence products,online enrollment, experience rating, dental network analysis processes. **Soft Skills:** + Collaborative team playerwith the ability to effectively build rapportin person andvirtually. + Exercise sound judgementand integrityin a changing, matrixed, and fast pastenvironment. + Exude confidence,positivity,and proactivity. + Act with accountabilityto deliveroncommitments with speed and quality. **Location and Travel Requirements:** + Up to 60% travelwithin the territory + Successful hire will be based in the Pittsburgh, PA area Salary: $40,000 ​ The salary reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
