**Job Title: Grit Blaster**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled grit blaster to expertly remove old coatings from gas turbine parts. The role involves working in a blasting booth to precisely blast away ceramic coatings from thin gauged stainless and alloy materials, preparing them for repair. This position focuses on handling nuts, bolts, and turbine components with precision.
**Responsibilities**
+ Remove old coatings from gas turbine parts using grit blasting techniques.
+ Operate within a blasting booth to handle ceramic (thermal bearing mat) coatings.
+ Ensure precision when working with thin gauged stainless and alloy materials.
+ Blast nuts, bolts, and turbine components efficiently and safely.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in sandblasting and grit blasting.
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience in grit blasting.
+ Experience working with thin gauged materials.

**Work Environment**
The role is set in an open-aired, clean shop environment. You will work in a blast booth requiring protective suits. The facility may relocate within North Houston in the next 5-6 months, but it will remain close by. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 5am to 4:30pm, with frequent work on Saturdays and some Sundays, offering ample hours.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Texas.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
