**Job Title: Grinder Operator** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Grinder Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating finish grinding machines, ensuring precision and quality in all tasks. **Responsibilities** + Set up and operate finish grinding machines. + Select specific speeds and feeds based on the materials being used. + Dress the grinding wheels. + Conduct quality inspections of dimensions and tolerances. + Detect any material defects and notify the supervisor. **Essential Skills** + Experience with grinder and surface grinding. + Proficiency in using micrometers and calipers. + Strong skills in quality control and machine operation. + Experience with CNC lathe and CNC mill. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience as a Machine Operator. + Proficiency in surface grinding. + Skilled in using micrometers and calipers. **Why Work Here?** Join a company that values learning and growth, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity. There are openings on both the 1st shift (5:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday-Thursday and 5:30 AM - 9:30 AM on Fridays) and the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 12:15 AM, Monday-Thursday and 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM on Fridays, with mandatory additional hours as needed). **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rochester, New York. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
