Overview

The Grinder Operator is responsible for operating grinding equipment to remove cosmetic defects from castings prior to machining. This role focuses on visual inspection, quality standards, and safe operation of tools and equipment to ensure castings meet quality requirements before entering the machining process. 

Skills and Experience Experience operating hand and power tools in a manufacturing or industrial environment

Strong attention to detail for visual inspection and quality control

Ability to identify and report casting defects to supervision

Ability to safely operate grinding equipment, forklifts, and overhead cranes

Willingness to wear required PPE and follow safety procedures

Ability to lift 50+ pounds with assistance and work in standing, bending, or squatting positions for extended periods

Willingness to work overtime and participate in required training
