**Job Title: Grinding Technician - 2nd Shift** **Job Description** In this role, you will operate hand and power grinding tools to remove weld spatter, burrs, and rough edges. You will inspect workpieces for defects and ensure they conform to specifications. You will also read and interpret blueprints or job orders for product specifications and maintain a clean and safe work environment. **Responsibilities** + Operate hand and power grinding tools efficiently. + Remove weld spatter, burrs, and rough edges from workpieces. + Inspect workpieces for defects and ensure they meet specifications. + Read and interpret blueprints or job orders accurately. + Maintain a clean and safe work environment. + Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). + Collaborate effectively with welders, fitters, and quality control personnel. **Essential Skills** + Experience in fabrication and preparing steel components. + Proficiency in grinding, smoothing, and finishing surfaces. + Ability to use hand tools and power grinders effectively. + Mig welding and deburring skills. + Physical ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods. + Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required. + Prior experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is a plus. **Work Environment** This position operates during the 2nd shift from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, Monday through Thursday, in an industrial fabrication shop setting.
