We boldly go. **Grinder (Disassembler)** **Essential Functions:** Load, unload, inspect, clean and pre-treat parts and assemblies in the paint area. Grind frames to print in the grinding room. **Education:** High school diploma or GED preferred **Certifications:** Forklift, if necessary **Quality Metric:** + Scrap Dollars + Rejected or reworked ground parts **Minimum Qualifications:** + Must be able to pass respiratory physical **Introductory Level:** **Primary focus is learning the process** + Successful completion of introductory period (6 months) + Understands, accepts, and supports vision and key business goals + Supports and demonstrates a well-organized, safe and clean workplace + Basic understanding, support and commitment to the team and continuous improvement + Resolves the problems at the lowest level possible + Identifies possible solutions when communicating problems + Follows rules of conduct at all times + Ability to learn, understand and adhere to standard work + Understands the importance of safety, quality, delivery and cost + Responsive to internal and external customer needs **Essential Functions (Maximum Timeframe 6 months)** + Demonstrate ability to set up and run basic operations in specific department(s) with assistance. + Demonstrate ability to make minor adjustments on related machinery and/or equipment, with assistance. + Able to properly inspect, load and unload the paint system (racks, trees, chain spacing, etc) + Able to properly prepare parts for the paint system (sanding, plugging, eye bolts, etc) + Able to inspect frames for pinholes, missing welds, etc. + Understand and follow the work instructions and quality standards for the department + Ability to identify and troubleshoot problems with parts being produced with assistance, while meeting the productivity requirements of the department. + Have a basic understanding of documentation (examples include ISO, windchill, Kanban and TKS’s).
