In this dynamic environment, we are looking for an ambitious and self-driven Senior Associate to join our Governance, Risk, Compliance and Internal Audit (GRC & IA) Consulting team in Athens.  

Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations across various sectors (e.g. Manufacturing, Retail, Consumer Goods, Construction, Pharmaceuticals) 

Work in a team towards the efficient and timely delivery of client engagements, taking ownership for one or more workstreams/assignments  

Application of common sense / commercial awareness / knowledge obtained during the project to assess the quality and reliability of information supplied  

Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients and stakeholders to build trust   

Build and maintain strong relationships with key client contacts  

Participate in proposal development efforts for client engagement opportunities

What you bring matters  

Three (3) to six (6) years of professional experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management, Compliance or related advisory roles, preferably within a Big4 or similar consulting environment 

Bachelor’s / Master’s degree from a top-tier university in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another related field (degree in Internal Audit or Risk Management will be considered an advantage) 

A relevant professional qualification (CIA, CRMA, etc.) will be considered as an advantage  

Ability to express ideas verbally and in writing, in a clear, concise and professional manner (both in English and Greek) 

Excellent computer skills, proficient use of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)  

Experience with data analysis tools such as Alteryx, PowerBI, Tableau, ACL, QlikView or similar will be considered as an advantage  

A confident and positive attitude, focused on teamwork and communication with colleagues and clients at all levels  

Ability to synthesize multiple and disparate sources of information into a coherent and compelling point of view  

Proven experience in planning, executing and reporting internal audit engagements (risk‑based approach, scoping, fieldwork, reporting, follow‑up) 

Solid knowledge of internal control frameworks (e.g. COSO) and internal audit standards (IIA), with the ability to assess the design and operating effectiveness of controls 

Hands‑on experience in documenting and evaluating business processes and controls (e.g. walkthroughs, flowcharts, narratives, control matrices) 

Strong understanding of key business cycles (Purchase-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Payroll, Inventory, Treasury) and related risks and controls 

Ability to draft clear, concise and insightful audit findings and recommendations and to present them to clients’ management 

Experience in supervising and coaching junior team members, reviewing their working papers and providing feedback 

Experience in managing day‑to‑day client interactions and contributing to the maintenance of strong client relationships
