Summary

Perdue AgriBusiness has an excitingopportunity for a Grain Crew Leader at our facility located in Salisbury, MD, supporting grain operations. 

Day shift hours: 7:00 am to 5:00 pm for non-harvest; 7:00 am to 7:00 pm during harvest.

This position has a target wage of $24.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on shift, experience and qualifications with annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Assist the facility manager in managing the operationsEnsure working conditions for all associates are in compliance with the safety guidelines established by local, state, and federal agencies as well as company policiesAssist the facility manager in coordinating and directing the daily activities of crews and teams that receive, dry, store, and distribute grainTrain and develop team members to perform required operational tasksOperate grain probe (hand/automated) and grade grain for all factorsOperate grain receiving equipmentOperate grain drying and related equipmentOperate grain transfer and load out equipmentOperate lift truck equipment and perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipmentPerform house keeping of all elevator areasPerform routine and preventative maintenance on operational equipment with the grain facility to ensure maximum availability and longevityPerform other tasks as assignedPreferred Education High School or equivalentExperience Requirements Minimum 1 year of professional leadership experienceExperience Preferred Previous grain operations experienceEnvironmental Factors and Physical Requirements Able to move freely throughout the agribusiness facilities including climbing vertical heights (0 -150'), carrying tools and equipment (0-50 lbs.), exposure temperatures (0-100) degrees Fahrenheit, humidity (0-100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available)Must be able to wear protective equipment to include self-contained breathing apparatusRequired to travel to remote agribusiness facilities and customer locations
