**Description**
**A Brief Overview**
The Graduate Building Automation Engineer will participate on both multi-disciplinary and controls-specific engineering teams to assist and support Building Automation Engineering design packages, perform calculations and assist engineering solutions in support of capital and retrofit projects in a variety of locations. Work duties can consist of any of the following depending on client, project, and consultant role:
**What you will do**
+ Assists in development of design drawings and specifications for design of primarily HVAC control systems and EPMS, for both PLC-based systems and DDC-based systems (System is client-specific)
+ Assists with mechanical and electrical design teams to develop Sequences of Operations and Point Lists for HVAC control and electrical monitoring of equipment and systems
+ Assist engineering drawings for control panel and field wiring designs including installation details, bill of material, and P&IDs
+ Assist quality reviews of project submittals.
+ Assist technical bids and managing vendor and subconsultant contracts
+ Assist in the reviewing and approving of vendor and subconsultant drawings, including Sequences of Operation, Points Lists, Engineering Drawings, Bill of Materials, Graphics, and Test Scripts
+ Assist in Software Bench Tests, Software Factory Acceptance Tests, and Equipment Factory Witness Tests
+ Assist technical assistance during commissioning at project site.
+ Assist compliance with company and site safety policies.
+ Assist multi-consultant and Owner meetings for design changes and implementation
+ Assist production of engineering drawings using Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD Electrical, or ePlan
+ Assist RFI responses and associated work plans
+ Assist adherence to client and industry standards and applies client or industry standards, guidelines, specifications, practices and procedures in preparing designs.
**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor Degree in Engineering required.
+ Understanding of BAS systems for large and complex projects.
+ Field experience in installation, commissioning, and/or trouble shooting of BAS systems in buildings preferred.
+ Ability to interface, mentor and collaborate effectively with your team members.
+ Strong organization, delegation, presentation and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
+ Knowledge business and engineering applications.
+ Microsoft Office proficiency preferred.
+ Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and drawing production from Revit.
+ Chartered Engineer (CEng) in Mechanical or I&C preferred or;
+ Incorporated Engineer (IEng) in Mechanical or I&C preferred
