The Digital Designer reports to the Global Creative Lead, and leads the visual brand identity and UI design of web-based digital experiences, including branded websites, platforms and digital campaigns. They are familiar with leading the digital creative design process from concept and design to execution and implementation. The Digital Designer possesses a myriad of design skills with a strong graphic design background and interest in emerging technologies. They will be able to translate high-level requirements into forward thinking, functional design that contribute to the overall web strategy development and execution. They provide industry-leading conceptual solutions and direction to a wide variety of multi-channel marketing initiatives. They have well-developed communications skills with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to articulate creative concepts and rationale with every level of the organization, as well as external creative agencies and partners.
Making an Impact – Your Key Responsibilities, Accountabilities, Ways of Working
• Lead the visual brand identity of ManpowerGroup and the family of brands on web-based, digital experiences such as websites, microsites, emails and social media assets.
• Collaborate with the Creative Lead to create dynamic and innovative digital designs for a wide variety of branded campaigns and thought leadership
• Create and maintain digital design systems to share with local marketing teams for our global branded websites
• Direct retouching and color correction for images used in artwork files.
• Responsible for maintaining consistency of design and brand identity across all technology projects.
• Create and maintain scalable UI design systems that are responsive, intuitive, and accessible
• Stay up to date on the latest emerging trends and innovations in the design, creative, and tech spaces
• Foster collaboration between UX and development to create Design System components that focus on strategic growth and meet the needs of our end-users
• Provide digital art direction and brand training to external agency partners to ensure brand guidelines are maintained and designs are cohesive with current branding
• Collaborate with the Marketing and Digital team, sharing digital expertise, providing guidance and design direction
• Knowledgeable of emerging trends, best practices and standards for effective design and end-user experiences.
• Follow branding guidelines to ensure consistent brand representation on company-owned and third party websites.
• Mentoring other designers on digital best practices to help our team grow their skillsets
• Engage in work sessions, open mindedly listen to ideas, and proactively provide critical but necessary feedback to your practice and project teammates
• Collaborate with team members in concept development, interface design, and website architecture including, but not limited to: new sites, online lead generation landing pages and banner ads.
• Engaging and proactively participating in discussions on how to improve site UI and digital processes
• Be a champion of accessibility and inclusive design across the organization and incorporate feedback to incrementally improve the usability of the design system to support UX and development best practices
People Leadership
• Work with the Global Digital Team and global stakeholders to design solutions for product and service offerings that are effective in engaging specific target markets and scalable to global markets
• Collaborate with the country digital and creative project managers to lead creative sessions for digital project kick-offs
• Identify opportunities, strategize creative, and execute designs for project and partnership accounts to support long-term brand and marketing goals on the web
• Present design work to creative and digital teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership for review, discussion, and feedback.
• Socialize design system process, features, and philosophy across the organization.
Your Typical Day and Other Key Details
• In Office 3 days per week
• Engage in project teams to understand design and user requirements and translate these into best-in-class designs and experiences.
• Maintain an organized digital file management system as outlined by Global Marketing processes
• Adhere to department workflow policy to ensure deadlines are met.
• Design digital campaign assets such as social graphics, infographics, emails and blogs.
• Troubleshoot issues with in-house and third-party vendors.
• Provide ongoing development, design and maintenance of web sites within predetermined timeframes; updating content and user interfaces as applicable
• Maintain brand guidelines for web and digital assets on the Global Brand Center
• Photo/image editing as needed for digital assets
• Sharing daily statuses with the production team, identifying and calling out red flags on projects, and sharing progress work with practice team
• Scale the brand design systems to accommodate new use case needs, website analytics, brand launches, and country enhancement requests
Required Experience & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Web/Graphic Design or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5–7 years of professional experience in graphic or digital design within a corporate or agency environment
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat)
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, or Sketch
• Familiarity with web platforms like Sitecore, HubSpot, or other CMS tools
• Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
• Excellent visual, written, and verbal communication skills
• Strong graphic design and layout skills, including typography, color, and composition
• Knowledge of HTML/CSS and understanding of how front-end development impacts design
• Experience designing for responsive, user-centric websites
Nice to Haves
• Experience and knowledge of video editing and animation
• Familiarity with JavaScript or jQuery
• Experience developing and illustrating storyboards
• Experience creating and maintaining visual standards and design systems
• Leadership experience, including mentoring peers and guiding design best practices
• Exposure to UX principles and interaction design
• Experience working on Mac systems and managing digital file structures
• Ability to apply creative thinking to traditional concepts and evolve them with modern tools
• Working knowledge and experience using the Ceros platform
