Global Security – Security Specialist, Associate – Tokyo

As a Security Specialist (Associate) in Global Security, you ensure the safety and security of our Tokyo facilities and employees. You lead the day-to-day management of contracted security personnel, oversee incident response, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain a secure and compliant environment. You play a key role in upholding our standards and supporting our business operations.

Job responsibilities:

Maintain the security of assigned facilities, ensuring only authorized employees and visitors have accessSupervise contracted security guards, including pre-shift inspections, briefings, and ongoing performance managementDesign and manage scheduling and shift allocations to ensure 24/7 coverageConduct routine investigations and compile timely, consistent reportsEnsure adherence to all department operating procedures by security personnelLiaise with police, fire services, and other agencies during emergencies and for security coordinationLead responses to site alarms and coordinate with the Asia Pacific Global Security Operations CenterParticipate in recruitment, orientation, training, and development of security staffManage local and regional administrative requirements, including billing, headcount review, vendor management, and induction for new hiresExecute other duties or projects as directed by Global Security Senior Managers

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Post-secondary educationMinimum 10 years of experience in security or related fieldsAt least 5 years of supervisory experience in a similar environmentExcellent working knowledge of security operations and safety practicesStrong interpersonal and team skills, with the ability to resolve security concerns and escalate as neededEffective multi-tasking and organizational skillsProficient reading, writing, and oral communication skills in JapaneseBasic reading, writing, and oral communication skills in EnglishStrong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

Previous experience in security, military, or police rolesExperience in the financial sector
