The Global Program Manager, Fire TV is a part of the the Product Marketing (PMM) and Go To Market (GTM) team and is responsible for leading the Global Program Management for our organization. The role will work closely with leaders of PMM and GTM, Product Management, Country Leads as well as cross-functional teams (such as Device Brand Studio, Insights, Online Experience, PR, Sales / Demand Gen, Business Intelligence, Finance, and more) to streamline PMM and GTM operations and playbooks, develop clear processes for the team to execute on launch strategy, and define and develop innovative new ways to bring products to market.
Key job responsibilities
* Lead Global and North America Project Management/Program Management for cross-functional projects across the entire Fire TV roadmap, including Fire TV streaming media players (SMPs), Smart TVs, and Soundbars & Accessories. This includes identifying and escalating bottlenecks, assessing risks, mitigating issues, and balancing the business needs versus constraints.
* Develop, implement and maintain new programs, tools, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process improvements across the Fire TV business to improve transparency, drive scale, and optimize efficiencies.
* Manage Fire TV consumer/market research and Device Brand Studio (DBS) prioritization, budget and strategy.
* Develop and Maintain GTM Portfolio Calendars and Document Repository.
* Own strategic global acquisition and engagement efforts for all event marketing initiatives for international and partner summits. Host events and presence at third party conferences and trade shows.
A day in the life
* Your role will require both a global and North America mindset as our team is responsible for both North America (US / CA / MX) as well driving the overall strategy globally for localization.
* You will identify, define, and deliver specific projects that range from process development, workflow redesign and creation, as well as specific marketing deliverables across GTM.
* You will coordinate marketing initiatives with other cross Amazon marketing teams, establish best practices, and support worldwide teams in problem solving.
* As the subject matter expert on the team's GTM processes, you will work collaboratively across Amazon Devices product lines to share knowledge, as well as define and share best practices.
* This position requires strong business judgment, problem solving and excellent communication skills. A track record of delivering results in a fast paced, dynamic environment is a must, as is a passion for scaling process across cross functional groups while improving efficiency and raising the bar on the quality of product launches.
About the team
The role of the PMM & GTM team is to set the product marketing strategy for all Fire TV streaming media player, smart TV, and accessories innovations. We drive decisions related to product, price, positioning, and placement and serve as the product marketing subject matter experts for our portfolio. We are on a mission to transform and reimagine the living room experience by making Fire TV the partner and ally who gets you and what you’re looking for.
The team works closely with our product management across hardware and software as well as many cross-functional teams from Sales to PR to Finance to CS and more. The team leads the global strategy and executes its plans for US / CA / MX while serving as a hub for our other country sales & marketing leads to localize and execute in their respective marketplaces. Together with these teams, we bring to life new Fire TV innovations.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
