Global Private Bank - Deposit Finance Associate

Are you someone who has experience in Financial Analysis and is looking to grow your career working in a globally diverse organization? Asset & Wealth Management Finance and Business Management has a new opening for a Financial Associate based in Plano, Texas. This position will report directly to the Global Private Bank (GPB) Deposit & Mortgage CFO with dotted line accountability to the GPB Deposit Business Lead. This role will be part of the Banking CFO Team and covers Deposit and Custody products for the Global Private Bank from a finance perspective. This includes financial analytics around the profitability of these products, forecasting, and analytics to support business decisions.

As a Finance Associate within Global Private Bank, you will influence outcomes for the business and challenge performance. You will be accountable for core financial discipline, organizational health, and location strategy and will be an integral part of our efforts to strategically manage capital, drive growth and efficiencies, maintain financial reporting and proactively manage risk. By providing information, analysis, and recommendations to improve results and drive decisions, you will ensure the company can navigate all types of market conditions while protecting our fortress balance sheet.

Job responsibilities

Serve as a strategic partner to the Global Private Bank Deposits Leadership Team by providing analytics and guidance which drives business development and aids in the execution of key business initiativesEvaluate and understand the financial impact from the drivers of deposit economics including: changes in the yield curve, Fed balance sheet actions, flows, product mix, and impacts from the deposit pricing team (e.g., large client exception pricing, campaigns, pricing reaction from deposit competition or alternative asset classes)Take active role in the forecasting process, its improvement/automation, and in articulating the drivers of revenue and balance changes Support the Deposit & Mortgage CFO on deposit stress testing and related analytics which impacts the firm’s capital adequacy assessment and its capital plan Improve the way we do business through review of current practices/processes, identifying deficiencies and/or weaknesses, and delivering solutions to enhance the current control framework of the business, particularly through innovation employing automation technologyExecute on ad-hoc requests from various stakeholders and senior management (e.g., various business senior leaders, both Asset & Wealth Management and Corporate Finance & Treasury organizations, etc.)

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s degree3+ years relevant experience Experience in Deposits, Financial Analysis, or TreasuryAbility to take ownership and work independently Analytical ability with capacity to tell the story and see the big pictureInteract and communicate clearly and confidently with all levels of management, including senior management within the Global Private Bank and Asset & Wealth ManagementAbility to articulate ideas in a clear, concise, and structured mannerDetail oriented, strategic thinker with skills in analysis, data synthetization, and acute decision makingHighly organized and structured; ability to prioritize and time manage is crucialSense of urgency: being more proactive than reactive, and ability to complete tasks/ requests in timely matter are keyUtilize judgment and discretion in working with highly confidential information

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Understanding of deposit pricing, liquidity management, and IRRBB (interest rate risk in the banking book) is a plusProficiency in SQL and/or Python is a plusProficiency in LLMs AI tools (Alteryx, Thoughtspot, DataBricks) is a plus
