The PositionThe Opportunity
As part of the Global Market Insights (GMI) team, you will be joining a team of passionate, analytical and data-driven individuals who partner with a wide range of stakeholders at a local, regional and global level to support decision-making. As the GMI Functional Partner for Roche Information Solutions (RIS), you will be the day-to-day lead for all insights related work for RIS. You will collaborate closely with your peers within Global Market Insights and Strategic Insights to advance our capabilities and ensure we are at the forefront of innovation and best practices in our field. Your content expertise and seniority will allow you to act as a strategic business partner to RIS business leaders and you are expected to proactively lead the identification and prioritization of key business questions and issues to be addressed.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide regular updates to leadership groups within RIS on market dynamics, including size, share and growth; competitive tactics, behaviors, messaging and product launches; mergers and acquisitions; emerging players and technologies; and other topics related to the market and competitive landscape
Advise your stakeholders on blind spots or areas of opportunity that would lend themselves to further investigation or study
Quarterback resources & prioritization for the GMI team supporting RIS, and provide direction and coaching to more junior GMI team members
Maintain visibility into market research and competitive intelligence efforts related to the stakeholder needs; ensure efficient and constructive use of market research across business topics
Collaborate with other Global Market Insights Functional Partners to identify any areas of shared interest across RIS or RDS (Roche Diagnostics Division)
Lead ad hoc projects to address strategic market topics with cross-functional teams (e.g. competitive workshops; scenario planning; landscape evolution)
Ultimately responsible for quality, performance etc. of market models, market data and insights related to RIS; deliver and refine global market and revenue model projections on a regular basis
Keep an updated overview of competitive menu and pipelines; understand the value proposition of competitive products and how those compare to RIS’s offerings; be able to explain market changes in light of customer preferences and competitive products
Ultimately responsible for market forecasts for Business Planning; ensure alignment with RIS and Roche Dia Business Plan process
In collaboration with other Global Market Insights Functional Partners, manage key relationships with external vendors
Who You AreStrong leadership skills in cross-functional teams and ability to successfully lead projects in such a setting
Demonstrated strategic acumen and ability to analyze complex business topics and issues
Experience presenting to and effectively challenge business leadership teams
Undergraduate degree required; master’s degree, MBA or Ph.D. in business or the life sciences preferred
Minimum 10 years industry experience required. Experience in the life sciences, pharmaceutical or medical device industries preferred;
Experience in the broader Digital Health space is strongly preferred
Management Consulting experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability of promoting a culture of trust and support with high emotional intelligence and strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills required; fluency in written and spoken English required
Proven ability to work in a fast-moving and agile environment
