As the South East Asia Investment Banking Control Manager (VP) in a global leader in financial services, you will oversee control governance, regulatory change, and risk management for Global Investment Banking in the region.
Job Responsibilities
Establish and manage the local control governance model for South East Asia Investment Banking, integrating with the global frameworkProject manage regulatory change implementation across South East Asia, partnering with Legal, Compliance, Business, Technology, and Conflicts teamsProduce analysis of control issues and metrics for senior management, projects, and local/regional forumsDevelop metrics and reporting to ensure visibility and transparency of risk events impacting Investment BankingExecute major regional and global control programs for South East Asia Investment BankingEmbed regional best practice governance while meeting local regulatory requirementsDevelop and implement training materials and communications, and execute regional controls programsCoordinate with Compliance to manage regulatory exams impacting Investment BankingManage internal and external audits for South East Asia Investment BankingCollaborate with APAC Regional Control Office management on relevant initiativesEnsure timely execution of business and process changes in support of the location. Conduct deep dive reviews into issues and risk events to identify and manage control gapsRequired Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines8 plus years experience in business risk, regulatory compliance or control management rolesUnderstanding of three lines of defense. Ability to conduct deep dive reviews and manage control gapsUnderstanding of Investment Banking products: ECM, DCM, and M&AKnowledge of securities business and regulatory environment in Asia PacificExcellent coordination, analytical, quantitative, and control skillsExperience dealing with senior managementStrong communication, relationship building, and influencing skillsPresence and ability to engage with senior managementFlexibility to partner with team members across global time zonesPreferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
Experience in project management for regulatory changeFamiliarity with APAC regulatory requirementsExperience managing audits and regulatory exams
