Global Business Services (GBS) Strategy Consultant
Position Summary

Our Global Business Services (GBS) team serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to CFOs, CAOs and other executive clients focused on captive and outsourced operations. We leverage Deloitte's comprehensive capabilities, assets, and insights to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions. Our mission is to help clients modernize functions which are part of their GBS organization including Finance, HR, Technology, Procurement, and other back office and core business functions, with the goal to enhance financial and operational performance, manage financial and audit risks, drive organizational change, and become strategic business partners within their organizations.

We are seeking a motivated and analytical Consultant to join our Global Business Services (GBS) Strategy team. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of multi-functional GBS operations and operating model structures, strong analytical and communication skills, and an interest in the intersection of technology, process design, and change management. In this role, you will support strategic business transformation initiatives, help develop governance structures, assist in implementing new capabilities, and contribute to optimizing functional processes using leading technologies.

Work You’ll Do:

As a Consultant in GBS Strategy, you will work as part of a team to help clients improve their business operations and achieve their strategic goals. You will support the identification, analysis, and implementation of business and technology solutions that drive operational effectiveness and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analyzing data, preparing presentations, and assisting with project deliverables. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals, develop your consulting skills, and contribute to impactful client engagements.

Key Areas of Focus:

Project Support Prepare and organize materials for meetings, workshops, and presentations. Support overall project management efforts, including the tracking of issues, risks, key decisions and status.Support the response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and other client opportunities, developing content in the direction of pursuit leadership.Process Analysis and Improvement Support the review and documentation of current business processes. Lead data collection efforts, including activity analyses, and develop multi-functional GBS fully loaded business cases. Contribute to the evolution of Deloitte’s GBS Strategy offerings by sharing insights, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting practice growth initiatives. Operating Model and Governance Contribute to the development of operating model structures and governance frameworks. Assist in documenting policies, procedures, and best practices. Technology and Innovation Support the evaluation and implementation of technology solutions, including workflow tools and automation. Stay informed about emerging technologies relevant to GBS. Stakeholder Engagement Help coordinate meetings and communications with client stakeholders. Assist in preparing clear and concise materials for various audiences. Change Management Support change management activities, including communication plans and training materials. Assist in tracking progress and collecting feedback during implementations. Team Collaboration Work closely with team members to deliver high-quality work. Contribute to a positive team environment and support knowledge sharing.Mentor junior Analyst level staff and active participation in local office and GBS community initiatives and programs.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience, preferably in business operations, shared services, process improvement, or a related field Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in business, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline Demonstrated experience supporting project teams in the analysis, design, and implementation of business processes or operating models Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modeling Experience preparing client-ready presentations and reports using Microsoft PowerPoint Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and ability to interpret and communicate data-driven insights Exposure to technology-enabled business transformation, including workflow platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Salesforce), automation, or digital solutions Understanding of or exposure to process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) and change management concepts Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse audiences Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams Must be legally authorized to work in the US without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Willingness to travel up to 50%, based on client and project needs

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with shared services, outsourcing, or back-office functional optimization projects Familiarity with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) or artificial intelligence applications in business operations Exposure to governance frameworks or operating model design Experience supporting change management initiatives, including communications and training Certification or coursework in project management, process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), or change management (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR) Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS) or relevant professional certifications

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $93,225 - $163,100. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
