GL Accounting Manager Job ID 237721 Posted 12-Sep-2025 Service line Advisory Segment Role type Full-time Areas of Interest Accounting/Finance Location(s) Dallas - Texas - United States of America **About the Role:** As a CBRE GL Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for managing key accounting and reporting activities of the organization’s Controllership Advisory Segment in the Americas Region. You'll support the monthly close process, providing timely analysis to Finance partners and leadership and maintain oversight of certain day-to-day activities of the group including medium to complex accounting activities and developing team members. The ideal candidate is a proven manager that has a balanced mix of public accounting background and experience with a large global matrix organization. **What You’ll Do:** + Review and approve the Incentive Fee accruals and payouts for Appraisers. + Liaise with Shared Services and Operations to ensure accuracy of financial transactions. + Understand the balance sheet accounts, oversee account reconciliations and assist in clearing aged balances. + Review and approve ad hoc journal entries as needed. + Point contact for Finance and various Operations groups. + Manage teams’ projects and deliverables to ensure work accuracy and departmental deadlines are met. + Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley control requirements. + Support the accounting aspects associated with intercompany transactions, mergers and acquisitions integration, global financial systems projects, and other associated activities. + Interact with internal and external auditors, management, and other functional finance team members as required to accomplish goals. + Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Influence parties of shared interests to reach an agreement. + Apply knowledge of own discipline and how own discipline integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives. + Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve day-to-day and moderately complex issues which may or may not be evident in existing systems and processes. **What You’ll Need:** _To perform this job successfully, an individual will need to perform each crucial duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions._ + BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or equivalent. 5 years prior work experience in a related field (including 3+ in a supervisory capacity). + Internal/External audit or SOX experience is a plus. CPA a plus. + Strategic mindset and an ability to develop and implement long-term category strategies. + Demonstrated experience in implementing process improvements and cost-saving initiatives. + Leadership skills to motivate team impact on quality, efficiency, and effectiveness of the job discipline and department. + Broad experience with large financial systems such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, etc. is desired. Knowledge of real estate service industry and terminology is helpful. + Extensive organizational skills with a strong inquisitive mindset. + Advanced math skills.
