Description We are looking for an experienced General Ledger Accountant to join our client's team in Wichita, Kansas. In this role, you will manage key accounting functions and collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Reach out to Molly Gardner at 816-601-1196 Responsibilities: • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, amortization, and depreciation, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Conduct monthly reviews and reconcile general ledger balance sheet accounts to maintain financial integrity. • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate records and resolve discrepancies. • Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, including preparing necessary reports and documentation. • Support annual third-party audits by providing required documentation and addressing inquiries. • Serve as a backup for accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring operational continuity. • Identify opportunities for process improvements in financial operations and implement effective solutions. • Consolidate and provide financial information and reports across multiple sites as requested. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. • At least three years of accounting experience, with aerospace manufacturing experience preferred. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, including intermediate skills such as V-Lookups • Familiarity with accounting systems such as MS Dynamis or a similar system • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large data sets. • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively at all organizational levels.
