Geotechnical Superintendent
Job Title: Geotechnical SuperintendentJob Description The Geotechnical Superintendent is responsible for ensuring safe working conditions in compliance with OSHA requirements and the company's safety program. This role involves overseeing project safety plans, managing site operations, and maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities + Ensure safe working conditions for employees in compliance with OSHA requirements and company safety program. + Complete all required safety training and model safety practices. + Develop and implement safety plans for assigned projects. + Submit accurate daily field reports promptly. + Inspect equipment on the job for service intervals and report any issues to the mechanic immediately. + Ensure work is built to plan and standard procedures with no quality issues. + Communicate with clients, project managers, and general superintendents regarding any deviations from the plan. + Maintain production according to the weekly plan. + Complete testing and submit data to engineers. + Manage the performance of direct reports. + Submit material delivery information and expenses daily. + Manage subcontractors and job site deliveries. + Determine and schedule the appropriate tools and equipment needed for the job. + Resolve problems promptly to prevent work stoppage. + Communicate effectively and cooperate with clients, vendors, and the internal team. + Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including equipment, vehicles, job sites, materials, and tools. + Identify and inform the project manager of the need for change orders when they occur. + Manage the completion of all punch lists. + Participate in project evaluation sessions and apply learnings to future projects. + Participate in daily huddles to report on progress. + Ensure timely and regular attendance. + Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of employment. Essential Skills + Experience with soldier piles, sheet piling, and soil nails. + Proven geotechnical construction experience. Work Environment The work environment involves managing on-site operations and requires effective communication with clients, vendors, and internal teams. A clean and organized work environment, including equipment, vehicles, job sites, materials, and tools, is essential. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Smithfield, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $130000.00/yr. Health, Dental, Vision 401k Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Smithfield,NC.
