ProTeX is seeking a qualified and motivated Geotechnical Engineer (EIT).  

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED- If you have experience in the following areas that will be a plus but applications will still be accepted for anyone with degree in Civil Engineering and working towards their EIT. It's preferred that you have already taken the FE but if you haven't we can help you achieve that.

An understanding of geotechnical engineering concepts and analysis methods.

Basic experience in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with AutoCAD Civil3D, GeoStudio, and gINT.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Willing to travel on an as-needed basis in support of geotechnical investigations, construction, and inspections.

PRIMARY DUTIES

Perform field sampling and testing utilizing a drill rig, seismic refraction, double-ring infiltrometer, etc.Performs a variety of skilled professional engineering work in the office and/or field.Applies broad/basic knowledge of principles of civil and geotechnical engineering to observe construction work, observe and document existing conditions, scope work, prepare proposals, perform site studies, identify soil and bedrock, establish laboratory testing programs, evaluate and characterize site conditions, perform engineering analysis and prepare reports. Requires application of standard engineering techniques and procedures, including professional judgment to execute work, develop solutions, and make design modifications.Performing geotechnical studies, analysis, and design.Preparing/reviewing a variety of geotechnical reports, studies, and evaluations.Reviewing construction observation and testing data and preparing reports.Analysis and design of mechanically stabilized earth retaining structures.Slope stability analysis.Analysis and design of ground anchors and soil nails.General knowledge of concrete, asphalt, and aggregate materials testing
