OSLI manages the approximately four million acres of state trust land spread throughout Wyoming – lands held in trust by the State to produce revenue to support public education and other designated beneficiaries. The Geospatial Technology Analyst contributes to the development and distribution of geographic and land management data, assists in developing and maintaining mapping resources, and provides technical support for various agency systems. KNOWLEDGE: + Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other geospatial technologies. + Knowledge of GIS terms and definitions. + Knowledge of real estate terms, the ability to read maps, plats, legal descriptions, legal documents, and metes and bounds. + Knowledge of land surveying and land systems. + Knowledge of cartographic design fundamentals. + Knowledge of data management concepts and best practices. + Knowledge of basic web design and graphic design. + Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SQL. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Bachelor's Degree ( typically in GIS or Data Management or a related field ) Experience: 0-1 year of progressive work experience ( typically in GIS or Data Management or related field ) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Map Editor. OR Education & Experience Substitution: 3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in GIS or Data Management or related field ) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Map Editor.
