Our client, manufacturing industry is seeking a General Shop Associate to join their team. As a General Shop Associate, you will be part of the production support team supporting steel fabrication and assembly processes. The ideal candidate will have good mechanical skills, strong attention to detail, and excellent attendance, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: General Shop Associate

Location: Milwaukee

Pay Range: $22

Shift: First shift 7 am to 3:30 pm, with some overtime typically from 6 am to 4:30 pm

What's the Job?

Load and unload trucks, store incoming steel materials using overhead cranes Wash steel tubing to remove grease and prepare materials for fabrication Caulk and bond fabricated products such as metal railings, fences, and steel stairs Grind and polish metal products with electrical hand grinders Cut metal materials to size using various cutting machines, reading tape measures accurately to 16ths of an inch

What's Needed?

Good math skills, especially fractions and decimals Mechanical ability and experience with hand and electrical tools Valid Wisconsin driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and perform heavy lifting tasks Excellent attendance and reliability
