**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** Join a dynamic fabrication shop that specializes in providing tailored services to various local clients. As a General Production Worker, you will have the opportunity to ensure the smooth running of operations on the production floor. **Responsibilities** + Read blueprints and drawings to take accurate measurements and plan layout and procedures. + Operate angle grinders to prepare parts that must be welded. + Align components using tools like calipers and rulers, and clamp pieces securely. + Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions, including vertical, horizontal, and overhead. + Train new welders and assist on the production floor when necessary. **Essential Skills** + Experience in maintenance repair and fabrication. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + At least 2 years of relevant experience. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Possession of AWS certification is preferred but not mandatory (a pay increase is available for those with certification). **Why Work Here?** Experience a supportive and friendly company culture where employees enjoy spending time together, both during and after work. Day Shift Hours are Monday-Friday from 6 am to 4 pm, with overtime as needed. Night Shift Hours are Monday through Thursday, from 3:30 pm to 2 am. The dress code requires contractors to wear steel-toed boot **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rock Valley, IA. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $25.00/hr.
