Job Title: General Production WorkerJob Description

This role involves working as a manufacturing associate within a steel company. You will play a crucial part in supporting production by moving materials and operating machinery in various departments of the plant.

ResponsibilitiesMove materials at the beginning or end of the process to the appropriate area using overhead cranes and pallet jacks.Collaborate with all departments in the plant to ensure smooth material flow.Operate machines by loading and unloading material, monitoring machine run times of approximately 30 minutes per batch.Work in the paint room to manage the coating process, reloading coating material approximately every 15 minutes.Essential SkillsExperience in machine operating is a must.Proficiency in computer skills.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.Willingness to work up to 60 hours per week.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious manufacturing experience is required.Must wear steel-toed boots and be able to work an off shift.Ideal candidates may have experience in a slitting environment or chemical processing plant.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is non-climate controlled and has a paint smell, requiring safety glasses, closed-toed shoes, and long pants/sleeves. Work hours are from 4 AM to 4 PM or 4 PM to 4 AM, with the first week training on days from 8 AM to 5 PM, the second week likely working 8 AM to 8 PM, and the third week transitioning to an appropriate 2-2-3 shift. Opportunities for overtime are available.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
