**General Production Worker/Batch Mixer** **Job Description** We are seeking dedicated individuals for both 1st and 2nd shift positions in our manufacturing facility. The role involves the production of high-quality printing ink, including weighing materials, operating mixers, and ensuring cleanliness of equipment. Shifts available are: 1st shift from 6 AM to 2:30 PM and 2nd shift from 2 PM to 10:30 PM. **Responsibilities** + Weigh batches as planned and assigned, following batch ticket directions and ensuring accuracy. + Select and clean appropriate mixing tubs for each batch. + Check raw material inventories to ensure availability and report any discrepancies. + Use the correct scale for weighing raw materials and document all relevant figures on batch tickets. + Sign batch tickets and mark tubs with the full formula number before moving finished batches to the proper area. + Mix batches of ink as directed, taking samples to Quality Control and making necessary adjustments. + Deliver batches to staging areas and maintain mixers, reporting any mechanical defects. + Operate pumps and understand pressure differentials, properly filtering ink as required. **Essential Skills** + Ability to lift 50 lbs. + Minimum of 6 months experience in production with ink or paints. + Experience with batch mixing, particularly in food production, chemical manufacturing, and GMP environments. + Basic math skills for accurate weighing and measurement. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lisle, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
