General Production Worker

Job Title: Production Operator $20-24/hr!

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Production Operator, where you will play a vital role in running production lines and creating batches for our valued customers. You will collaborate with other production operators to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

Issue silver for batches and help complete material and maintenance verifications.Assist in troubleshooting material and process issues, and coordinate efforts to pre-plan and stage for the next day.Prioritize operator tasks according to release dates on the Open Order Report and assign repacks to operators to complete before shipping deadlines.Support the QC Lab in troubleshooting production-related issues and participate in the corrective action process.Help manage raw material inventory and cycle counting by performing or assigning cycle counting tasks monthly and conducting year-end inventory.Review fast-moving or critical inventory items weekly and order as necessary, while maintaining a critical material list.Collaborate with QC to ensure critical items are prioritized for testing to meet the production schedule.Attend daily production meetings and become a Subject Matter Expert in Production by understanding all major production processes and materials.Perform training for new hires and work with Quality Manager and Production Manager on training requirements per operator.Assign responsibilities to other staff for training, maintain training records, and establish a robust training system in all areas.Conduct competency reviews on new hires and current staff, developing training plans where deficiencies are found.Work with the Production Manager to promote housekeeping initiatives and tasks, performing daily reviews and audits.Communicate and promote cleanliness standards to production and warehouse areas, and initiate follow-up with staff in underperforming areas.Work with management on calibration and preventative maintenance needs.Collaborate with the Plant Operations Manager to achieve packaging inventory goals and metrics.Assist operators in achieving delivery goals and customer expectations while working with the Production Manager to reduce overtime.Maintain process control over batches and operators using Control Plans effectively in making process-related decisions.Audit Fork Lifts Inspection to ensure daily inspections occur and lifts are in good working condition.Assist in training operators on using forklifts safely.Coordinate waste management activities with the Compliance team, ensuring waste is organized and in proper receptacles.Participate in training activities, actively listening to presentations, asking questions, and completing reviews or tests as required.Lead training as required by the training matrix and be an active member of the safety committee.Act as an Emergency Responder for fire, tornado, or other disasters.

Essential Skills

2 years of Production line experience.2 years of Manufacturing experience.2 years of Line operation experience.General safety knowledge.Computer operation skills.Experience with ERP systems.Ability to perform manual labor.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with chemical manufacturing and production equipment.General reading and comprehension of production documents and work orders.

Work Environment

This role operates in a clean manufacturing environment with a single shift from Monday to Thursday, working ten-hour days. You will work on production lines, handling materials and larger-scale batch processing, including drums and pallets of powder, within a team of 50 employees.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Delaware, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr.
