Production Worker - Elk Grove Village, IL

1st shift 3am - 1:30pm Monday-Thursday ($18/hr)

2nd shift 2pm - 12:30am Monday-Thursday ($19/hr)

Job Description

Operate and monitor production processes including mixing, extrusion, polishing, and finishing to ensure product quality meets specifications.

Responsibilities

Measure and load ingredients, weighing up to 50 lbs., into mixers.Blend ingredients based on time specifications and transfer mixed batches to the next process.Process mixing batches through extrusion equipment to ensure the finished product meets customer specifications.Manage and transfer finished products through polishing processes using panning methods.Transfer finished products from extrusion processes using drums, carts, or trays to the next process.

Essential Skills

1+ year recent manufacturing experience in production.Experience with mixing, extrusion, batching, polishing, and finishing preferred.Ability to use hand tools such as RF scanners, hand trucks, and sifting screeners.Ability to lift/move up to 50-60 lbs. with or without accommodation.Strong English and math skills; able to read/write and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, manuals, and shipping documents.Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays; reliable, flexible, and a team player.

Work Environment

Work in a Foods company where GMP rules are crucial. Uniform, hair net, beard net, and safety shoes are required. Employees must wash and sanitize hands and boots before entering each room. The facility includes 8 Production Rooms and 4 Packaging Lines. Shifts available: 1st shift from 3:00am-1:30pm, and 2nd shift from 2:00pm-12:30am.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
