**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** The Shop position involves a variety of tasks including measuring, assembly, installing doors onto door panels, and some packaging and palletizing. This role requires the use of a measuring tape, hand and power tools, and the ability to follow written instructions. You will utilize carpentry equipment and periodically lift materials throughout the day. As part of the team responsible for preparing products for shipment, you will be cross-trained in various roles to support different departments. **Responsibilities** + Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other tools. + Assemble and install doors onto door panels. + Package and palletize products for shipment. + Use hand and power tools effectively. + Follow written instructions and blueprints. + Utilize carpentry equipment and pneumatic tools. + Assist in various departments as needed to support production. **Essential Skills** + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools. + Ability to accurately measure and use a tape measure. + Comprehension skills to follow written instructions and read blueprints. + Experience with pneumatic tools and saw operation. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience in woodworking, construction, or building is a plus. + Experience using pneumatic tools is advantageous. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy excellent health benefits and PTO offered within the first year, along with one floating holiday. Although not glamorous, it is a typical carpentry distributor environment. Be prepared for warm summer months, but enjoy fans and cool treats provided by the company. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rockford, IL. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
