Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

Operate and monitor production processes including mixing, extrusion, polishing, and finishing to ensure product quality meets specifications.

Responsibilities

Measure and load ingredients weighing up to 50 lbs. into mixers, blend based on time specifications, and transfer mixed batches to the next process.Process mixing batches through extrusion equipment to make the finished product and use product controls to ensure it matches customer specifications.Manage and transfer finished products from extrusion and drying processes, apply finishing touches using panning processes, and add liquid ingredients.Manage the transfer of finished products from extrusion processes using drums, carts, or trays to the next process.

Essential Skills

1+ year of recent manufacturing experience in production.Experience with mixing, extrusion, batching, polishing, and finishing is preferred.Ability to use hand tools such as RF scanners, hand trucks, and sifting screeners.Strong English and math skills; able to read/write and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, manuals, and shipping documents.Ability to lift/move up to 50-60 lbs. with or without accommodation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Willingness to work overtime and occasional Saturdays.Reliability, flexibility, and ability to work as a team player.

Work Environment

Work in a Foods company where GMP rules are vital. You must wear a uniform, hair net, beard net, and safety shoes, and perform sanitation protocols before entering each room. The facility includes 8 production rooms and 4 packaging lines. The role involves working 2nd shift (2:00pm-12:30am), with initial orientation for both shifts running from 8:00am-4:30pm for two days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elk Grove Village, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
