**Job Title: General Production Worker** Job Description The Molding Floor Person is responsible for handling the movement of finished production, boxes, bags, and scrap within their assigned area, including scanning. This role also involves maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the area, preventing waste and scrap, and ensuring smooth material and part movement. This role provides a foot in the door at a state-of-the-art plastics manufacturing facility. After the first 520 hours, you will be hired on and your base pay will be $18.50/hr. Responsibilities + Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheets. + Use scanners to transfer finished production to the warehouse and scan scrap for the area. + Maintain the area with boxes/totes for production and monitor color buckets/material. + Clean floors and maintain orderliness in the assigned area. + Clean machines, conveyors, and manage oil/water spills. + Completely clean assigned molding machines, including peripheral equipment. + Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases or other containers. + Operate forklift (if authorized) in accordance with OSHA regulations. + Accurately complete necessary documentation and ensure the accuracy of scanning. + Perform routine maintenance activities to grinders and separators as needed and check and replace vinyl under machines when necessary. + Adhere to daily molding schedule regarding restarts, shutdowns, and changeovers. + Relieve associates in assigned area for breaks. + Follow all work rules and policies. Essential Skills + Experience in production, general labor, and general production. + Proficiency in using scanners. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Must be able to speak, understand, and read effectively. + Ability to operate a forklift if authorized. Work Environment Work in the molding department on production floors with shifts available as follows: **1st shift from 6:48 AM to 3:00 PM** **2nd shift from 2:48 PM to 11:00 PM** **3rd shift from 10:48 PM to 7:00 AM** . Days off are to be determined. The dress code ensures a safe and professional work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grandview, Missouri. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $15.50 - $16.50/hr.
