General Production Worker
Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

The Shop position will be responsible for a variety of duties including measuring, assembly, installing doors onto door panels, and some packaging and palletizing. This role requires the use of a measuring tape, hand and power tools, following written instructions, utilizing carpentry equipment, and the ability to lift materials periodically throughout the day. In preparing the product for shipments, you will be a core part of the team and will be cross-trained in a variety of roles to support various departments.

Responsibilities

Measure and assemble components accurately.Install doors onto door panels.Package and palletize products for shipment.Use hand and power tools effectively.Read and follow blueprints and written instructions.Utilize carpentry and pneumatic tools.Operate saws and other carpentry equipment.Support various departments through cross-training.

Essential Skills

Experience with hand tools and power tools.Ability to follow written instructions.Comprehension skills for blueprint reading.Skill in using pneumatic tools and saw operation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in woodworking, construction, or building is a plus.Experience with pneumatics is advantageous.

Work Environment

The work environment is within a 95,000 sq. foot building that is temperature controlled with heat during the winter. While not glamorous, it is a typical carpentry distributor facility. Expect hot conditions in the summer, but we provide fans and cool treats to help manage the heat. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm or 3:00 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr.
