Job Title: General Production Worker
Job Description

The role involves loading and unloading materials into and out of trucks, onto conveyor belts, and pallets. You will mix materials to manufacture concrete blocks and load these blocks onto conveyor belts. This is a physically demanding position requiring the ability to lift 50 lbs consistently throughout the day. The work is primarily general labor within a production environment, and being mechanically inclined is considered a plus.

This position offers good starting pay with no experience required. There is significant growth potential, with opportunities to advance into roles such as machine operator or forklift operator. It is a stable, temp-to-perm position with plenty of work available. You will work with a good crew of people and enjoy the benefit of good exercise while working.

Work Environment

The work is conducted outside but under a roof, within a concrete block manufacturing setting. The environment can be dusty due to materials. The shift runs from 6am to 3 or 4 in the afternoon, Monday through Friday, with optional Saturdays. The expected work week is 45-55 hours. The position is ongoing and can transition into a permanent role after 90 business days.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westbrook, Connecticut.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
