General Production Worker
**Job Title: General Production Worker** **Job Description** Join our team in manufacturing garage doors during our busy season, typically in the summer following the construction season. This is a long-term, full-time position with a 90-day contract-to-hire opportunity. **Responsibilities** + Read and interpret tape measures and operate hand and power tools. + Perform basic arithmetic operations such as addition and subtraction. + Engage in bending, pushing, pulling, and reaching activities as required by the department. + Participate in team lifts of up to 100 lbs. + Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of tools in your work area. + Assemble sections of garage doors, including adding bottom seals, end caps, and panels. + Label panels and work collaboratively within a team. + Read and process orders accurately. + Pack and load trucks manually (no forklift usage). + Unload incoming shipments and verify receipts. + Replenish and transfer materials across departments. + Keep work areas clean and empty dumpsters daily. + Manage materials, including inventory storage, replenishment, and tracking. + Communicate effectively with suppliers and use Excel for material tracking. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read tape measures and operate hand and power tools. + Proficiency in basic arithmetic operations. + Capability to engage in physical activities such as bending and lifting. + Experience in team lifting up to 100 lbs. + Skills in assembly and packing. + Competency in reading orders. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High School Diploma or GED is required. + At least 1-3 months of experience in manufacturing. + Some assembly work involving windows and panel finishing. + Skill in using routers for panel cutting and seal installation. **Why Work Here?** This full-time role offers a raise after being hired permanently, with immediate benefits upon hiring. The company provides weekly pay. **Work Environment** The manufacturing environment includes two shifts: 1st shift from 7 am to 3 pm, with potential early starts at 5 am, and 2nd shift from 3 pm to 11 pm, with possible extensions to 1 am. Training is conducted within the respective shifts, and orientation is scheduled accordingly. Dress code requires steel-toed shoes, jeans, and a work shirt, with cut-resistant sleeves provided. The facility follows an overtime schedule that prioritizes volunteers before becoming mandatory. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $18.15/hr.
