**Job Title: General Production Worker**
**Job Description**
Join our dynamic team in the pet department, where you will focus primarily on grinding, dicing, and working with raw and cooked meat each day. As a flex position, you will not only support the Pet platform but also have the opportunity to learn various operations across different business sectors, building a breadth of capabilities for future development.
**Responsibilities**
+ Safely operate equipment, understand food safety requirements, and perform risk assessments.
+ Operate mixing and grinding equipment, including equipment setup following COHE procedures using hand tools and instructions.
+ Conduct basic analytical quality tests, including moisture content tests using NIR (Near-infrared spectroscopy) and temperature readings using a thermometer.
+ Demonstrate agility by flexing across teams within a platform as work needs shift.
+ Perform equipment sanitation and basic equipment setup activities.
+ Apply basic technical skills related to product, process, and packaging.
+ Consistently lift, manipulate, and transport ingredients or equipment weighing up to 55 lbs.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in production, especially food production.
+ Familiarity with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) in food processing.
+ Ability to work and communicate effectively with people from diverse technical and production backgrounds.
+ Strong knowledge of analytical instrumentation and data analysis.
+ Proficiency in PC skills, including Word and Excel.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Basic production experience is required; food production experience is preferred.
+ Background in food science and food quality.
+ Ability to coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong judgment and problem-solving ability.
+ Flexibility and adaptability in changing work environments.
+ Demonstrated competencies such as bold action, quick movement, business influence, remarkable product creation, and global impact.

**Work Environment**
Work a Monday to Friday schedule from 6AM to 2PM. The role is initially a six-month assignment, with the potential for extension up to 12 months, while applying for internal roles. The environment is 100% production and research-based, with strong standard operating procedures. Please note that this position involves potential exposure to common allergens, including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, soybeans, and sesame.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
