We're seeking a Production Worker for a premier Refrigerant Distributor in the Bridgeton NJ area.

7:00AM - 3:30PM@ Monday-Friday (Morning)

2:00PM - 10:30PM@ Monday-Friday (Afternoon)

Job Description

As a General Production Worker, you will be responsible for receiving, sampling, transferring, and blending refrigerants using vapor compressors or liquid pumps. You will also perform DOT required inspections for shipping refrigerant containers.

ResponsibilitiesEnsure that the area of responsibility is clean and free of safety hazards.Communicate with supervisors and co-workers, maintain written logs, and utilize available information regarding job changes, problems, or special instructions.Climb railcars to check for leaks in railcars and other refrigerant containers.Repair leaks or report them to a supervisor if unable to repair.Maintain accurate and legible records.Leak check transfer lines and perform minor repairs to containers and storage tanks.Weigh and record accurate weights of tank trucks, ISO containers, and rail cars.Transfer refrigerant to and from storage tanks.Sample inbound and outbound shipments and storage tanks with assistance when blending refrigerants.Inspect inbound and outbound containers for DOT requirements.Identify and report non-conforming products.Operate forklift, tractor, stacker, and switchmaster safely.Follow all DOT regulations for shipping containers.Train other operators as required.Perform general housekeeping tasks.Perform duties with minimum supervision.SkillsMechanical aptitudeMaterial handlingQuality inspectionRepairing cylindersAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in production, loading, and inspectionAbility to frequently lift up to 60 pounds and move up to 150 poundsCapability to sit and operate a forklift or stackerSpecific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focusWhy Work Here?

Work in a production environment with machinery and compressed gas. The role requires physical activity such as sitting, standing, climbing ladders, and operating equipment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgeton, New Jersey.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $19.00/hr.
