Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker in our wood shop. You will be part of a dedicated workforce that contributes to the production of high-quality steel trusses, wall panels, and wood components. Depending on current needs, you may be placed in either the Steel Shop or Wood Shop, with roles available as a Builder, Catcher, or another essential position.

ResponsibilitiesBuilder: Assemble trusses by pre-cutting and labeling them according to the work order. Set up jigs and tack plates, requiring precision in reading measurements to 1/16th of an inch, and use a hammer and staple gun. Occasionally, crawl on knees to tack boards.Another Position: Stand trusses upright in the yard, coordinating with the forklift operator when necessary.Catcher: Collaborate with the saw operator to catch wood once cut to specifications. Use a carpenter square to check angles, stack wood on pallets, and label it. Work Environment

Cascade Manufacturing Company is a leading Midwest manufacturer, providing a supportive work environment. Experience varying temperatures, with doors open in summer for ventilation and heating in winter. Dress code includes jeans, shorts, T-shirts, and steel-toed shoes. Employees must supply their own hammer, knee pads, and 25ft tape measure in the wood plant, while only a tape measure is needed in the steel plant. The company supplies hearing protection, safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats. Shift schedules are as follows: 1st shift (6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Thursday; 6:00 am - noon on Fridays), 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 1:00 am, Monday-Thursday; noon - 6:00 pm on Fridays), 3rd shift (11:00 pm - 6:00 am, Sunday-Thursday). Occasionally, Saturdays may be required during busy periods. Enjoy paid breaks and a structured shift schedule.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.07 - $23.07/hr.
