Job Title: Production Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Production Worker to operate and maintain packaging machinery. The role involves setting up equipment, managing production runs, and ensuring product quality. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and be comfortable with physical tasks.

ResponsibilitiesOperate and set up packaging machinery including auto packagers, cutters, and fillers.Adjust hoses, blades, and add new film and roles to machinery.Input orders and runs into computer systems.Manage and unclog machinery jams.Inspect products for defects and ensure quality control.Operate machinery that fills, cuts, seals, and packages sauce packets and containers.Connect hoses to tankers and fillers.Climb ladders to access top of machinery and work comfortably at heights.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) experience.At least 1 year of packaging experience.At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.Ability to lift 40 lbs. individually.Comfortable climbing ladders and working on mezzanine above machinery.Additional Skills & QualificationsBilingual abilities are a plus.Experience with blending and batch mixing is desirable.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

The work environment is a very clean and temperature-controlled facility, featuring packaging machinery, kettles/tanks for mixing, and inventory management. The floor consists of various tanks, machinery, and packaging lines. It may be slightly warmer near cooking equipment, but overall, it is a pleasant and aromatic place to work. Employees are required to wear hairnets, beard nets, non-slip boots, and work pants, with no jewelry allowed, adhering to GMP standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.85 - $18.85/hr.
