Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a General Production Worker, where you will operate and maintain a variety of machinery and tools including punch presses, drill presses, shear presses, and overhead cranes. You will be cross-trained in multiple areas based on needs and be responsible for loading and unloading machines, monitoring machine operations, and maintaining clean work areas.

ResponsibilitiesPre-assemble and deburr points and rail using grinders and impacts.Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.Assist in the Frog Assembly Department using overhead/jib cranes, grinders, and benders.Run punch presses and operate bending machines for large guiderails.Assemble brackets using basic hand tools.Essential SkillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds.Read a tape measure.Possess mechanical aptitude.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with punch presses and metal fabrication.Proficiency in using drill presses, benders, and saws.Familiarity with quality tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in a machine shop environment with extensive metal fabrication equipment. Handle large metal bars used as guide rails for the railroad, using overhead cranes for movement. The facility is not temperature controlled but typically has open garage doors unless during winter. Collaborate with a team of 40, with flexibility to work in different departments based on skills and preferences. Dress in long pants and sleeves, and start with safety training and orientation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.25/hr.
