**Job Title: General Production**
**Job Description**
Join our team as a General Production worker on the 1st shift from 6:10 am to 2:30 pm. This role requires overtime, and during the summer, you will work seven days a week. Sundays are compensated at double time regardless of weekly hours. You will be responsible for ensuring that quality parts are produced and assembled by conducting visual and gage inspections while meeting production rates or efficiency requirements.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform production and assembly of parts safely, adhering to all safety policies.
+ Continue the production of parts through welding, pressing, milling, or assembling processes.
+ Identify and correct quality issues with welded, milled, pressed, or assembled parts.
+ Pack parts into containers as specified by standards.
+ Perform required Plex functions, including creating/printing tags and recording production.
+ Adhere to and maintain 5S and LEAN Manufacturing standards.
+ Contribute to a work team by offering quality, safety, and productivity ideas.
+ Train coworkers on manufacturing skills as required.
+ Communicate to avoid unplanned downtime and inform other shifts of problems or trends.
+ Inform the leader of maintenance needs.
+ Perform additional functions as directed by the leader.
**Essential Skills**
+ General labor experience
+ HS Diploma or GED
+ Basic computer skills
+ Ability to repeatedly lift 30-50 pounds
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Manufacturing experience is not required
+ Must be willing to work in a hot environment and wear all required PPE at all times

**Work Environment**
The work takes place in a large manufacturing facility that is fairly clean. It can get hot during the summer but remains comfortable during the fall and winter months. There are six different plants within a mile radius of each other.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Haven, Michigan.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
