Job Description
As a General Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our seasonal agricultural operations. The nature of your work will change with the seasons, involving a variety of tasks to ensure the seamless production and distribution of seed crops.
ResponsibilitiesDuring September-October: Receive and process trucks hauling crop from the field for weighing and unloading, complete various harvest activities such as combine cleaning, supply the Conditioning department with a consistent seed supply, and apply appropriate treatment to seed.From November-March: Label, tag, bag, and palletize seed, enter inventory information into the computer, and stage seed for shipment in the warehouse.Between April-August: Retag in-house seed, re-bag backhaul returned seed, inspect pro boxes to ensure they are free of debris and clean, and wash pro boxes as necessary.Essential SkillsKnowledge of production agriculture and production plant operations.Ability to safely perform duties in a timely manner while maintaining seed quality.Capability to work independently or as part of a team.Flexibility to adjust to changing conditions and anticipate needs.Proficiency in making independent decisions.Additional Skills & QualificationsGeneral production skills.Forklift experience is preferred.Ability to pass pre-employment screeningsReliable transportation to the site and punctuality.Enthusiasm, good attitude, honesty, and a willingness to treat all with respect.Ability to work long hours and rotational shifts including overtime as needed.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Physical ability to lift, push, and pull up to 60 pounds, work in and outdoors, and walk on uneven surfaces.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role involves both indoor and outdoor work, requiring a significant amount of walking. The schedule varies with seasonal demands, with shifts potentially including 10-hour days, rotating every four weeks. Night shifts offer additional pay for hours worked after 6 pm.

This is a Contract position based out of New Madrid, Missouri.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
