**Job Title: General Mechanic** **Job Description** As a General Mechanic, you will assist our full-time mechanics in both repairing equipment when breakdowns occur and performing routine preventive maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for oiling equipment, turning wrenches, and ensuring that machinery is ready to operate smoothly. **Responsibilities** + Assist full-time mechanics with equipment repair and preventive maintenance. + Perform routine tasks such as oiling equipment and ensuring machinery is operational. + Conduct precision alignment of conveyor belts, drive belts, and shafts. + Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, including knowledge of infrared thermography and infrared thermometers. + Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic systems, including air power actuators. + Ensure safety and compliance in all maintenance activities. **Essential Skills** + Mechanical aptitude with a basic understanding of mechanical systems. + Experience with pneumatic systems and air power actuators. + Ability to perform precision alignment tasks. + Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance techniques. + Strong troubleshooting skills. + Commitment to safety and compliance. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Minimum of 1 year of experience, or mechanical classes or experience working around farm equipment. + Mechanical inclination or experience in farm hand type work. **Work Environment** The work shift is from 6 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
