General Manager Of Finance & Accounting

The General Manager of Finance & Accounting will oversee the financial management and reporting of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial information is presented to stakeholders. This role involves directing financial affairs, managing accounting operations, and leading budgeting and forecasting efforts. The position requires a strategic leader who can provide insight into financial health and support other departments in achieving company objectives.

Responsibilities

Present the company’s financial status to executive leadership when required.Direct financial affairs including preparation of interim and annual financial statements.Develop, analyze, and interpret financial data to assess profitability and budget performance.Provide financial reports to stakeholders including external auditors and public authorities.Advise on financial improvements and implement approved actions.Ensure the company is not exposed to significant financial risks.Oversee accounting operations, ensuring compliance with standards and legal requirements.Supervise general and cost accounting, ensuring accuracy in transactions and reconciliations.Conduct internal audits and coordinate annual financial and tax audits with external firms.Lead the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, establishing planning and control procedures.Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and evaluate investment opportunities.Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Finance and Accounting Department.Supervise and evaluate department personnel, facilitating their development.Prepare and process payroll for executives and expatriates.Lead initiatives to improve financial practices and operational efficiency.Ensure compliance with company policies and federal, state, and local tax regulations.Work additional hours as needed to meet business demands.

Essential Skills

7+ years progressive experience in finance and accounting with a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.Experience in consolidating financial statements and managing external audits.Ability to present ideas effectively to executive leadership.Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Microsoft Business Central ERP.Background in manufacturing or distribution sectors.Confidence to share thoughts and ideas in meetings with top leadership.

Work Environment

This role is based 100% on-site with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The company offers a supportive work culture with opportunities for professional development. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
